| that the wg's that they supply are strong enough to hold 24psi. They might get up that high at peak, but they won't hold to redline at that pressure. What did adjusting the WG help? Did you run it non-adjusted first? When you say "we know that the WG... are good", who is we? I thought it was pretty much common knowledge that the WG's supplied with the 530's (per discussions with Greg, Mark Leader, Ash, etc) won't hold above 20psi all the way to redline. Regardless of how much preload you put on them. When you say "conservative tune", what do you mean? Were the EGTs getting too high above 20psi? Was the a/f getting too high? Did you just figure that 20 psi is enough because its a round number? If you said something along the lines of "egts were getting around 825, and that was as high as i wanted to go" or "we had trouble keeping the a/f at 11.5 past 20 psi", I'd be much more grateful to you in terms of guidelines for tuning than 'i wanted a conservative tune'. Know what I mean? Thanks! PS: yes, I'm using the stock oil lines with the 530's. I am getting some smoke out of the exhaust, but I think that the majority of it is from a rich a/f. I'll know more tomorrow afternoon after the dyno session.
